Where’s the hometown love?

I’ve seen a lot of attention being shown to the hip-hop dancing side on MTV’s ABDC (Americas Best Dance Crew), So You Think You Can Dance?, and even a movie on Netflix Planet Bboy. Beside’s that i’ve seen bboying on Sacramento’s GoodDay Sacramento and a Article or two in a few online magazine/newspapers at best. So when your city has thee Number 1 Bboy in the World whos been ranked TWO TIMES in the last TWO YEARS I ask myself, Where is the LOVE for Fallen Kings Member Bboy Morris?

He has made it to the finals of several major events such as:
•Keep on Dancing 7
•Chelles Battle Pro 2011
•Hip Hop Battle New School
•The Notorious IBE 2010
•Be.Bboy Osaka 2010
•The Bamboozle Festival
•Hip Opsession 6
•UK B-Boy Championships World Finals 2009

On top of all that he has been in a popular dancing film “Step it up 3″ and whats crazy is HE’S NOT THE ONLY ONE out of Sacramento,CA that has made a name for themself’s in the Bboy Scene. Name’s like Style Elements member Bboy Machine, who has won major events and has also been in a “Step It Up” movie. Then you have D-Trix, who is a popular member of “Quest Crew” who won MTV’s ABDC 3rd Season and has also been on “So You Think You Can Dance?” and in Snoop Dog’s Music Video “I wanna rock right now” and please believe the list goes on if you research the crews out of sac such as UGF (Underground Flow) and Flexible Flav.

With Bboy Morris getting ready for another international bboy event and pre-pairing for RED Bull’s BC One comp, I really wonder how as a city that loves our media, how could this be getting slept on so much? How can we have the NUMBER ONE Bboy in the WORLD and never once bring him up in local newspapers or tv? I’m sure he has way bigger things to actually worry about, but as a fan of bboying I gotta say we need to support a lil bit more especially when bboying events are family events.
